What is Uluru Hop on Hop off?
We’re a flexible shuttle service helping you explore Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park at your own pace. We stop at all the key sites, no car needed, just sit back and enjoy the ride.
Do I need a National Park Pass?
Yes, all visitors need a valid Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park Pass, which can be purchased online, we recommend purchasing in advance to save time.
What times do your buses run?
We run scheduled services throughout the day – including sunrise and sunset. Timetables change monthly and are available here.
Booking your Ride
How do I book a ticket?
You can book online here, or through select travel agents, at the Voyages Resort, or the Yulara Visitor Information Centre.
How do I book a pickup time?

How do I check the bus times while I’m out and about?
Before you go, download the monthly timetable to your phone before your trip. Still unsure? Our drivers are always happy to help.
Do I need to book in advance?
While walk-up tickets may be available, booking in advance is the best way to lock in your spot, especially during busy months (May to October). Purchase your ticket here.
Are tickets refundable?
Yes, if you booked directly with us, you can cancel or change your booking up to 24 hours before your tour. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows aren’t refundable. Booking fees are non-refundable. If you booked through a travel agent, please contact them directly to manage any changes.
Getting Around with Us
Where do I catch the bus?
We have multiple pick-up points in Yulara, including Ayers Rock Resort; Desert Gardens, Sails in the Desert, the Campground or Outback Hotel and Lodge, please see our timetable for specific pick-up times.
How early should I arrive at the pick-up point
Departure times are approximate, please be waiting 5-10 minutes prior to be sure you are ready when the bus arrives.
What should I bring?
Bring sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses), comfy walking shoes, at least 1 litre of water per person, snacks, and a camera. In summer, Hydrolytes are a great idea. The Cultural Centre (open 7am–5:45pm – changes seasonally) is the only place to buy supplies and has bathrooms and a picnic area with Uluru views.
Can I bring luggage or strollers?
Small bags and collapsible strollers are welcome. However, large suitcases and bulky items cannot be accommodated.
Is the service wheelchair accessible?

Making the Most of your Visit
Where do you stop at Uluru?
Our Uluru service stops at the following locations Mutitjulu Waterhole, Kuniya Piti, Mala Carpark and the Cultural Centre before returning to Ayers Rock Resort accommodation points. This service gives you 2-3 hours at each location.
Where do you stop at Kata Tjuta
Our Kata Tjuta Sunrise service stops at the sand dune for sunrise viewing with the option to go on to the Walpa Gorge Walk (1hr) or the Valley of the Winds Walk (3hrs) before returning to the resort. Please note: The Kata Tjuta Sunset service does not include the option to do the Valley of the
Winds Walk. The Kata Tjuta Afternoon service (April/May only) has the option of Walpa Gorge or Valley of the Winds (this service does not include Sunset).
Can I watch the sunrise or sunset with your service?
Absolutely! We offer dedicated buses for both sunrise and sunset at Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Staying 3 nights or more? Our 3-day pass is perfect; it includes two Kata Tjuta transfers and unlimited trips to Uluru.
Are guided tours included?
Our drivers are friendly and knowledgeable, but the service is transport-only. To get the most out of your experience, we recommend adding the Uluru Audio Guide trip (available via our website when you make a booking), an app that brings the landscape to life in 6 languages.

What happens if there is bad weather?
We run rain or shine, in the event of any timetable changes, we’ll keep you updated. And if it rains, you’re in luck! Only 10% of visitors see Uluru in the rain, it’s a rare and spectacular sight.
How should I prepare for the heat?
The outback can be extreme, so stay safe by dressing for the weather, staying hydrated, and planning walks for cooler parts of the day. For tips, visit: Parks Australia – Staying Safe.
Are there bathroom facilities along the way?
Yes, at Uluru, you’ll find bathrooms at the Sunrise and Sunset viewing areas, Cultural Centre, Mala Carpark, and Kuniya Piti.
What if I miss the return bus?
We take your safety seriously and count all guests on and off. If you return another way, please let us know straight away so we know you’re safe.
Is there Wi-Fi on board?
No, there’s no Wi-Fi. You’ll usually have mobile signal around Uluru, but coverage is limited or unavailable at Kata Tjuta.
